I came to art late, but have crafted since childhood.
Art came about as an extension to my need to develop ideas further than I could with the traditional craft skills I had learned as a child and teenager and had practised my whole life.
As I learned new techniques and development of ideas using sketchbook practice, research and referencing other artists, I grew in confidence and took my studies even further.

I've not been in a position to exhibit much over the past few years, mainly because of completing my degree and earning a living, but I do intend to spend more time preparing for and submitting to open exhibitions and competitions next year. In addition a group of UCB alumni have formed an exhibiting group and will be starting to show the first of their group exhibitions, First Class from January next year. News on this will be shared on my home page.
